Spring Challenge Day 5- Brussels Sprouts

Brussels Sprouts

Pan LOVES brussels sprouts. I asked him how he wanted them tonight and he said “Steamed with olive oil, lemon and salt” . Well alright Pan you got it!

2 Lbs Brussels sprouts

1 Lemon zest and juice

2 Tsp extra virgin olive oil

pinch of sea salt

 

In a large pot, place a steam basket and 2 inches of water.Turn heat to medium high.  Add brussels sprouts and steam for 5-10 min or until bright green and can be pierced with a fork.

Toss Brussels sprouts  with olive oil, lemon zest and juice and sea salt( to taste)

Serve.

– Ok. YUM!

  1. I’m with Pan. Crazeeeee for brussels sprouts. Around here we often treat brussels sprouts like popcorn at movie time. Cook up a big bowl . .we like to splash on tamari . .a tad messy for finger food but with a handy dandy cloth napkin/towel or a fork . . .we indulge and enjoy
