Cooking with kids!

I love when my kids are at school 😉 ! I also love when school is canceled, or rainy days when you are stuck inside. Yesterday was one of those days  so I let two of my children and a friend make muffins!

Getting your kids into cooking helps them understand more about what they are eating. It will help them when they are older; they will be less afraid of trying new foods and more able to cook for themselves. You can involve your children in many ways, I always seem to have at least one helper at dinnertime. Giving them the simplest jobs like, Garbage person (collecting all vegetable peels, packaging etc..and putting in the trash) Vegetable washer, Go-to person (fetching ingredients from fridge, cupboard, etc).Even if they just stick their finger in the bowl, lick the spoon and make a mess. Get kids involved!!

  1. Hi Macromom, I LOVE your video of your kids baking muffins!!! It’s so sweet!!
A macromom myself I’m always happy to meet other families who are into macrobiotics. You have a great website! Many greetings from Austria! Isabel

  2. Hi Sarah. Just wanted to say what a lovely video of your children baking. Oh how I wish I had found macro when my children were young, but I am trying to believe that it is never too late, and so am beginning my journey with macrobiotic cooking. A bit daunting, but I will try hard!

    Thanks for this site.
    Lots of love
    Kim
